SaaS Recruiting for Companies Shipping Faster Than They Can Hire
Contract, contract-to-hire, and direct placement talent across the whole org chart, from first engineer to first CRO.
Whether you're a seed-stage team hiring your first ten or a scale-up chasing a number the board picked out nine months ago, hiring is the constraint. Not the roadmap, not the market. The people. And every other software company is fishing the same water with the same pitch. Catch finds SaaS people who've done it at your stage, because someone who thrived at 800 employees often drowns at 20. From Software Engineers to Product Managers to Account Executives, we deliver interview-ready professionals who fit your team, your stage, and your culture.
Three Ways to Get the People You Need
Different problems, different solutions. Here's how software companies actually use us.
Contract Staffing
When you need capacity, not headcount.
The release date moved up, the migration is bigger than anyone estimated, and headcount is locked until the round closes. Catch puts vetted SaaS professionals on your team fast, on our payroll, with the flexibility to scale as priorities shift.
Vetted talent with real product and SaaS experience
Co-employment protection, we handle W2, payroll, and compliance
Flex your team up or down as the roadmap changes
Local presence with a national footprint
Meaningful reduction in time-to-hire
Direct Placement
When the seat needs a long-term owner.
Some hires can't be temporary. A VP of Engineering, a Head of Product, a first Chief Revenue Officer, a founding Account Executive. For those, we run the full search: position-specific sourcing, pre-screening, qualification, and selection, then stay in it as your partner all the way through offer and close.
Talent attraction and engagement strategy built for your stage
Position-specific sourcing and long-term pipeline development
Pre-screen, qualify, and select, so you only meet real contenders
Interviewing strategy and development
A strategic partner and liaison through the close, not a resume vending machine
Contract-To-Hire
When you want to test the waters.
The role matters and the budget's approved, but at twenty people a bad hire isn't a bad hire, it's five percent of the company. Bring someone on contract, watch them work inside your stack and your pace, and convert when you're confident. Both sides get a real look first.
Try before you commit, and so do they
Lower risk on early and business-critical roles
Clean, straightforward conversion terms
Candidates get a genuine feel for your culture and your codebase

Why Software Companies Keep Calling Us Back
TALENT
Fully-vetted, offer-ready candidates of the highest quality. In SaaS that means we've verified the technical depth, confirmed they've operated at your stage and scale, and pressure-tested how they handle ambiguity. Someone who ran a mature function at a 1,000-person company is a different hire than someone who built one from nothing. Neither is better. They're just not interchangeable, and hiring the wrong one costs you two quarters. We don't forward resumes, we send people who are ready to say yes.
TIME
Your team is shipping, selling, and answering to a board. Screening 400 applications isn't the job, and in this market you'll get 400. The people you actually want aren't in that pile, they're heads-down somewhere good and not looking. Reaching them takes relationships you've been building for years, and that's our problem to solve, not yours. We free up your time and resources so you can get back to the work that moves the business.
TEAM
A tenured crew with deep industry knowledge and real relationships. Our recruiters can talk through an interoperability stack, understand why a payer-side data engineer isn't the same as a provider-side one, and know which certifications actually matter versus which are just letters on a resume. You get people who've been doing this a while, not a rotating cast of order-takers.
Who We Are
Catch Talent is a high-touch recruiting agency that delivers end-to-end talent acquisition solutions to growing technology, financial services, healthcare, digital and creative, professional services, and government contracting companies.
Headquartered in Charleston, SC, we specialize in the full talent attraction lifecycle: sourcing and recruiting qualified candidates who are interview-ready, culturally-aligned, and ready to make an immediate impact.
SaaS is where Catch started and where we've spent the most time. We've helped venture-backed startups, bootstrapped software companies, and scale-ups build teams through funding rounds, product launches, go-to-market pivots, and the occasional all-hands-on-deck sprint. We've watched companies go from a dozen people to a few hundred, and we've been in the room for the hires that made it possible. That work built the network, and the network is what you're hiring.
Built on relationships. Focused on people. That’s how we work.
How Can Catch Help You and Your Team?
Tell us what you're building and who you need on it. Whether it's one hard-to-fill founding engineer seat or an entire go-to-market team from scratch, we'd love to hear about it. Fill out the short form and we'll be in touch quickly, with actual humans.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
The whole org chart. Engineering, platform, data, and security on the technical side. Product, design, and QA on the build side. Sales, sales engineering, customer success, marketing, and revenue operations on the go-to-market side. Plus the finance and business operations roles that keep a growing software company from tripping over itself.
-
Both, and the difference drives everything. A ten-person seed company and a Series C scale-up need genuinely different people, even when the title is identical. Early-stage hires need range and comfort with ambiguity. Later-stage hires need depth and the ability to build process. We calibrate the search to your stage instead of running one playbook at everyone.
-
Both, and we'd argue you shouldn't split them across two agencies. Plenty of technical recruiters can't credibly evaluate an enterprise AE, and plenty of sales recruiters can't tell a strong platform engineer from a mediocre one. We cover the full org chart, which means one partner who understands how your product and revenue teams actually need to fit together.
-
Faster than a job post and a hope. Because we work from an existing network instead of starting cold, most searches produce a qualified slate quickly. Actual timing depends on the role, the market, and how narrow the requirements are. Tell us the position and we'll give you a straight answer on what's realistic before you commit to anything.
-
Contract means the professional works on your team but sits on our payroll, ideal for launches, migrations, and defined-scope projects. Contract-to-hire is the same setup with a built-in path to convert them once you're confident. Direct placement means we run a full search and they join you as a permanent employee from day one.
-
Yes, and it's most of what we do in SaaS now. We recruit nationally and we're used to distributed hiring: comp banding across markets, time zone overlap, and screening for whether someone has actually worked remotely well versus just done it during a lockdown. Local presence, national footprint.
-
Both. Catch is headquartered in Mount Pleasant, SC and we know the Southeast market deeply, but we recruit and place nationally. If you're hiring in a market we haven't worked yet, tell us and we'll be honest about what we can do.
-
We go past the resume. That means digging into the actual stack and architecture they've worked in, understanding the size and stage of their previous companies, and pressure-testing what they personally owned versus what their team happened to ship. For go-to-market roles, we look at real quota attainment, deal size, and sales motion. Then we check that they fit your culture, not just your requisition.
-
It depends on the engagement model and the role. Contract staffing is billed at an hourly rate that includes wages, burden, and our fee. Direct placement is a fee based on the hire. There's no cost to have the first conversation, and we'll walk you through the numbers before anything gets signed.
-
We stand behind our placements. Direct placement engagements include a guarantee period, and on contract engagements we can swap talent if the fit isn't right. The specifics get spelled out in your agreement, and we'd rather over-communicate on this upfront than surprise anyone later.
